ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

DATA MINING

MEMBRANE COMPUTING SPECIALIST

I am José María Chacón Losada

In recent years I have investigated in various fields of Artificial Intelligence and some of its applications, such as Membrane Computing and Data Mining.

Data mining (the analysis step of the "Knowledge Discovery in Databases" process, or KDD), an interdisciplinary subfield of computer science, is the computational process of discovering patterns in large data sets involving methods at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistics, and database systems.

Membrane computing (or MC) is an area within computer science that seeks to discover new computational models from the study of biological cells, particularly of the cellular membranes.

  • Appraisal Books Algorithm

    Year 2013

    Algorithm Development

Using Artificial Intelligence I developed an algorithm to assess ancient books, divided into three phases:
    1. Valuation of the book to their physical characteristics (Finished)
    2. Assessment of the author and title by dynamic web search (Finished)
    3. Machine Learning (In process)

  • Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines

    Year 1998

    Algorithm Development

For this well-known game, I developed a small collaboration with several routines of Artificial Intelligence, focusing mainly on two aspects:
    1. Finding the shortest route on a map between two points
    2. Visibility of objectives between two points on the map.
